Ex-voto
I´m learning to read and write and I like to do it on my own. All help is very welcome
Do you believe in
miracles? I do.
I know it almost sounds old-fashioned, but that´s the way it is.
At home all of us were a bit faithful and we believed that God
exists, for example.
Okay, o.k., maybe father had his own doubts not the others. In fact, I am a committed believer in and supporter of heavenly creatures, on the contrary that the man who I was working with: in spite of his religious assignment, he believed things had one direction, a forward direction, according celestial will of our Lord. There is no turning back. Therefore when his wife got worse he spent the time writing sermons for hours and hours. In this way he killed two birds with one stone: forgetting for a moment his wife´s affliction and, on the other hand, during church services what he had written before enclosed within the walls helped himself.

Dear, in my forced travel I´ve seen them around the Continent,
they are deposited in chapels, churches or holy places where worshipers seek
some gift from God. People offer exvotos in change of healing, protection or
even miracles.
In Andalusia, where I´m living now there are lots of shrines and
hermitages including a chamber cluttered with these offerings.
Notwithstanding –this word is completely new for me- I believe
in miracles. Indeed I´m the better proof they exist.
