Footballers and Inland Revenue

A matter draws me this morning. Apparently several footballers —and several coaches— in Spain owe more than 20 million of euros to the Spanish Fisco. That is not new.

Footballers are privileged. Footballers are our icons, our models. Daubed shapes. I don´t understand a fucking word of it!

On the other hand, as they are so poor, they have not agencies nor legal adviser that can help to these demanding workers with their income tax return. Perhaps they have lawyers and management committee but they aren´t specialized enough. Poor thing!

When they are ready to enter to jail they pay.it doesn´t matter the amount: 500000 euros? 14.8 million euros? As usual the prison is for poors.

One question. Why the footballers´ salary is not a state affair? In my country, Mr Corbin could have the opportunity of “building a ceiling” on profits and to invest a huge amount of money in society. In my opinion, this would be a more equitable distribution of wealth. I´m not saying to make poor the footballer, just a bit less rich.

One can put into practice the same strategy in the bank wages. Let me show you:

HSBC, profit US dollar 2479 billion (2016)

Barclays, profit £ 2828 billion (2016)

TSB, net income £ 134.5 million (2014)

RBS, profit £ 3607 million (2009)

Another question. Why not a bank president´s salary is a state affair? I know that in special circumstances they have made special measures. Spain. 2012. Banks were helped by state and, as a result, its presidents “only” could earn 600000 euros. By the way, Mr Rato´s salary was “shrunk” from 2.3 million to those 600000 of small change. Rodrigo Rato, a bloke with a rich literature behind him.

Indeed I think in such a country, drowned by the crisis, this money is excessive. Speaking frankly, this is a theft.

I´m not talking about communism, I´m talking about a state that protects defenceless.

From my Borstal.
