Cheap shags
When
one reaches my age one believes that nothing can surprise you, but this is a
flagrant mistake. One believes you have already seen all. However when you
least expect it, bang! A new monstrosity makes you wobble.
Long
time ago I read a book written by Barbara Smucker, Underground to Canada. It is an amazing novel for teenagers —also
for adults— that talks about slaves who cross US toward Canada in order to
become free men and women. Slaves who use some people, abolitionists, and an ‘Underground Railway’ to escape from their
owners.
«Universal
Health Coverage (UHC) is about ensuring that people have access to the health
care they need without suffering financial hardship. It also helps drive better
health and development outcomes.»
On
this occasion there is a column (Kate Hodal, The Guardian) where I find a frightening practice that many women
from sub-Saharan Africa and Asia are bearing nowadays: one more case of sexual
slavery.
According
a recent study (Chatham House´s papers), when a woman goes to have a baby she
has to face up to a bill of £1500; let us suppose that this woman has means
enough, she pay the services and bye; otherwise if this woman doesn´t have
sufficient financial resources —which happens frequently— she and her baby are
detained by the doctors. Yes, these women settle their debts submitting to
these lascivious ‘professionals’.
«The
UHC Forum aims to galvanize the health sector, countries, development partners,
civil society and the private sector toward the common goal of UHC, including
pandemic preparedness, and highlighting country success and breakthrough
experiences to accelerate the progress of UHC.
In
the most extreme cases, women that are even tied to drainpipes, starved and are
physically and psychologically degraded. You will be asking right now how long
this situation lasts. It´s very simple. Suffice it to say that it results of
divide 1500 by 2,16: 695 intercourses. For these bastards each shag works out a
little more than two pounds!
«Sustainable
Development Goal 3: Health. Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all
at all ages. Health targets for SDG 3 are 3.1, 3.2... 3.8 Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection,
access to quality essential healthcare services and access to safe, effective,
quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all.»
And
from what one can see, this crime is common and accepted by such society.
Politicians make use of this in their politics campaigns. I can believe it. I
imagine this poor woman calculating how many sexual relations she has left to
satisfy her owner and that he gives back all her papers.
All
this as for the mother. As regard the baby, in the twenty-first century, there
are children who are born slaves; they are not free while their mothers have
not cancelled their obligations. Why happen this? Because hospitals, clinics
and health services are private. Although these practices also occur in public
establishments in a lesser proportion, among other things because there are fewer. Human
basic rights shouldn´t be private because in this way the rabble who rule the
money set up a personal business with its rules and these rules are against
universal values.
